The simple rectangular footprint, and height to width proportions of a typical barn are un-packed on the second level to accommodate the intended program. The dramatic geometry of the copper roof becomes the dominant architectural gesture, creating unique natural lighting opportunities on the interior, and extending the building volume laterally into and over the landscape.
